Royal Wedding Part 2

As promised, here is Part 2 with some styles of dresses we at York Bride would love to see Princess Katherine adorn for her big day.  This is just a small selection from a sample of British designers. There are many, many talented designers  out there and I am sure they would all create a beautiful design for her.  However, we think that Kate would look amazing in a dress that is understated with structure yet still feminine and not too ageing for her.   We are not keen on the thought of crystals or heavy embroidery, but loving the thought of the fabric creating shape and texture and lace would just be lush! A fishtale silhoutte would really suit her figure (but not too clingy) but even a well structured bodice with a soft line skirt would look equally as gorgeous.  We hope you like the pics below, thanks to Alice Temperley, Suzanne Neville, Phillipa Lepley,  Claire Pettibone.  We have our favourite designer which we will spill at the end of the pics ;)

Claire Pettibone - Hyacinth

So we hope you like our choices.  We would like to see a move away from the traditional strapless design- although they can be stunning, considering the venue we think sleeves, whether full or cap will be ideal for a spring wedding and we think will add a touch of elegance. We adore all the pictures shown, but if we had to choose a favourite designer it would be the lovely Phillipa Lepley for her glamourous yet understated and feminine frocks- just gorgeous!  We will have to wait and see which lucky designer gets to grips with the most talked about dress of 2011! Lets hope they tell us soon.
