The Circus Comes to Town

Well..... I have been to see Take That and their amazing Circus Tour at The Stadium of Light in Sunderland. What can I say other than.....pure brilliance, an extravaganza of entertainment and pure talent from those lovely boys (well, men now). It got me thinking seeing all the clowns, balloons and colours on a Circus wedding theme. So, just for fun, I thought I would throw some Circus ideas together. True, it can be totally OTT, or you could go vintage circus and be a bit more glam with the whole thing. But for now, its just a taster to show you whats out there. If anyone else out there has seen the show then I hope you enjoyed it as much as me:)

A Few Favourite Things

There always times when I get totally blown away by products that I find. At the moment I am hooked on Etsy.com. The site has the most amazing products, all handmade; some of the suppliers are UK based and even those not in the UK can ship international which is always a bonus. I have tried to pick a few of my favourite finds, but I would recommend some sit down time with a cold glass of vino and a browse through the site. You will be spoilt for choice!
A lovely set of paper stars which can be hung separately or made into a garland,
Paper butterflies would make beautiful favours or can be placed in floral centrepieces, ideal for decorating a marquee with
Dandelion wishes; where guests can write good wishes on the back and put it back into the display
Stunning bird cage would make an eye catching centrepiece. Either as it is or you can add a few subtle flowers in the base
The sweetest bride and groom birds I have ever seen and made out of vintage material and paper these can make cute cake toppers.

Peacock Princess

I am always looking at different themes/colour schemes and styles for my clients. It's always good to think out of the box and the smallest thing can stir inspiration for a wedding. I currently seem to have a love for the peacock. I adore visiting Castle Howard as they always have peacocks proudly strutting across the beautiful grounds. They seem to be so powerful yet delicate. The colours of teal, deep blues and purples go together perfectly and can be brilliant as a wedding scheme. You can be as subtle or elaborate as you wish with this look. To be honest I have had trouble finding a lot of peacock inspired wedding products but I always think that's good because it normally means it is a relatively new and unique idea. Anyway, I hope this gives you some inspiration and ideas to work with.

Wedding Favours

A good morning to you all.
I have recently just finished writing an article on wedding favours and always enjoy looking for different and wonderful wedding favours for my clients. If you are at the point of deciding what favours to give on your day, then http://www.coxandcox.co.uk could be a helping hand to you. They have a Wedding Sample Box available at the cost of 15 pounds and as you can see from the picture you get a great selection of their wedding favours from crackers to sparklers to seeds. I love the sugar hearts and a couple I recently worked with used these for their wedding. They looked great on the cups on the tables! It can sometimes be difficult to see what the quality, actual size and feel of the favours you find online so I think this is a great way to get to grips with the real products. In addition, if you put an order in with Cox and Cox for over 150 pounds, they will refund the cost of the sample box. Cox and Cox also offer a Wedding Gift List and if you sign up for one they will send you this Wedding Sample Box for free! Brilliant! They have all sorts of wonderful products on their site, definetely worth a look in my eyes. Happy favour hunting x

Crystal Flowers

Afternoon,
I don't know about you, but I am a lover of the vintage look. The details and colours that all go together, sometimes in a somewhat eclectic style; yet still beautiful and elegant. I have been lucky enough to be involved planning a summer vintage theme and it looked brilliant. Anyway, whilst reading up on all things vintage I came across a yummy site called http://www.vintagemagpie.co.uk/ . If you like buttons, brooches, crystals etc then you will have a great time working your way through the site. I just love the alternative crystal bouquets. These are brilliant if you want to have a contemporary style bouquet. They will not only look beautiful but the bride gets to keep a memento of the special day! They can be used any time of year and will look amazing for a summer or winter bride or even spring and autumn. I just wish there were gorgeous possibilities like these around when I got married.
Please visit the site and select the Gallery option to view this ladies excellent and inspirational work. I hope you like them as much as I do.
